BRAG Launches Retail Careers for 36 Students of Color

Candidates were placed in executive level summer internship programs 

New York (May 24, 2016) – The BRAG Summer Internship program is a comprehensive work and professional development program designed to expose high potential college students to opportunities in retail, fashion, and related industries. A paid ten (10) week summer internship consisting of seminars, workshops, retail math coursework, a case study presentation, and networking opportunities.  Qualified candidates are matched with a sponsor host company, where they obtain executive level work experience throughout the summer.

Out of 444 total applicants, 36 interns were accepted into this year’s program and will be interning with the following companies:

  • Ann Taylor – Ascena Retail Group, Inc.
  • Belk, Inc.
  • Bloomingdale’s – Macy’s, Inc.
  • Burlington Stores
  • Catherine’s – Ascena Retail Group, Inc.
  • CVS Health
  • Victoria’s Secret – L Brands, Inc.
  • Lane Bryant – Ascena Retail Group, Inc.
  • Macy’s, Inc.
  • Nordstrom, Inc.
  • Tommy Hilfiger – PVH Corp.
  • The TJX Companies, Inc.

Since 1970, BRAG has helped prepare and educate professionals, entrepreneurs and students of color for executive leadership in retail, fashion and related industries.
